Default OCing a 4890...

Hi guys I got my cpu and gpu on water, I want to use ATi Tray Tools (latest Beta) to OC it.

But:

I realized I have no idea about Video Card OCing, only CPU lol. How do I see what frequency it will become? By default mine is 900MHz. And what is there to OC exactly? What about the voltage?

It doesn't work for me

It won't let me see the other options. And doesn't it need to run on startup to oc it?

um any software oc will have to run on start up to work even ati ccc . The reason most people use other tools( and not the ati catalyst control center) is because you can only go so high with the ccc software. but for some reason you say rivatuner is not working so go with what is working.

Do you know why RevaTuner is not working for me?

Edit: It needed a special CFg file for the 4890. Got the core at .945GHz (why no 1Ghz )

sweet, I can go up to 955/1125 100% stable.

Is yours stable? have you tested it?

With my first card which is a standard "vanilla" Sapphire 4890 I can do 960 core and 4400 memory. Probably I can go higher with the mem; I actually have not tried.

With my second card which is an "OC" Sapphire 4890 I can do 970 core and also 4400 memory. Again, I have not tried higher memory settings.

The vanilla card gets its results with an Accelero Twin Turbo HSF. The OC card is still wearing its standard cooler with 40% fan speed.
