it still applies pretty good pressure, be careful not to put too much, don't want to damage that nice board, give the OC'ing a shot first, and see how temps look, Good luck

i lower 2.4x to 2.0x (940) and 2.0v for stable...

if i use 2.4x (1128) then i must rasie 2.0 to 2.1v... but not stable and i might need to raise more cpu voltage... is it too much?

thank you again...

should be enough on your Vcore, everything looks ok, except, I see you have your MCH core set to 1.3

If you look at my printscreenshots, for 495Mhz and 500Mhz FSB, I was using 1.34

you could even go to 1.36 MCH core

Sometimes the CPU's have a FSB wall, but these newer 45nm quads seem to be able to push 500 ok.

ok what is maximum voltage of mch?

now i will go back 1.4v vcore to 1.28135v and rasie 1.32v... right? if its not unstable then raise vcore until 1.4v.... if fail then raise mch 1.32 to 1.34 and go so...?

i really hope its not fsb wall >_>;

1.4 Is realy High for a 9450 or a 9550, the chip is ok to take it but not 24/7. I sugest 1.325 for 24/7 OC. And don't worry with my Q9550 and my EP45-UD3P i'm running 3.8 on air with a vendetta 2 and maximum of 41 celcius. You don't need to be watercooled if your chip is a little good. You should be abble to go up to 500 FSB easy to if you have good memory I do it like a charm with Mushkin XP2 1066 and now I have reach 525 with G.skill and keep pushing it. ( but my proc is little hot max of 54 celcius full load ).

Keep in mind, you might set it to 1.4 in the BIOS, but it might only read as 1.36 when your in Windows on CPU-Z

If your setting to 1.325 in BIOs, you might only have 1.28 on the core, it won't always set perfectly. I know mine are usually .03 lower.

that makes a sense... but is it really bios's fault?

i tried 1.34 on MCH (1.2815 on vcore)... it still unstable at currently vista but i suspected that if the vista can't start then i should raise voltage of mch... but what about if i also raise cpu pll? from 1.3 to 1.34 or 1.36?

check my Pictures I posted above, CPU PLL was the same in all of them, 1.5 which is default

you can bump up CPU Termination a little to 1.32-1.34

MCH core you can go up to 1.36 no problems,

when you CPU gets up to about 3.6-3.8Ghz it might need around 1.34 Vcore(as read in windows. Not all chips run at the nice low Vcore the other person mentioned.

You can see in my pictures I posted for you, what Vcore I had for CPU speeds, and mine was a chip that took a little more volts. As long as your max temp under load is under 70C your fine.
