Default Aside from 3oh6, I think this is the best 06 score 31K+

MUTT Trifire 4870x2 + 4890.

I remember renoracer had a score in the 28k range and that was the highest I seen for 06 on HWC. What happen to him anyways? It seems like a few bad sales happen to both him and sniper who were friends.

All on air for gpu no volt mods yet.

800 on the 4870x2 and 1000 on the 4890. So basically max in catalyst control.

CPU at 4431 with HT off which bizarrely lowers the score.

score total = 28974
sm 2.0 = 11054
sm 3.0 = 15155
CPU = 7002

I know 3oh6 has something better than this, but for us mere enthusiasts.

hahaha, i'm just an enthusiast too. nice run but disabling HT should hurt the score but yours doesn't look too bad. can you run with HT enabled at those clocks? what is the CPU score if you can?

06 also runs in XP much better. have you tried with just the X2 in XP at those clocks? would be interesting to see what the difference is. for instance, two GTX295s in Vista will score near the same that a single GTX295 in XP does. might want to give it a try.

Hey 3oh6. Congratulations in putting Canada on the mark for overclocking.

Haha, anyone that runs LN2 is slightly more than an enthusiast. I would say hardcore. And even more hardcore when they get invited to global overclocking championships. The coldest I run is an open window which is tragically 10 C right now.

I can run 4.21ghz with HT on. Damn I wish it was winter again. I get somewhere along the lines 7450 with HT on but a really brutal sm 3.0 score. Below is with that cpu speed but slightly lower gpu speeds.

3DMark Score
27097

SM 2.0 Score
10289

SM 3.0 Score
13284

CPU Score
7447

I believe I can run up to 4.305 with HT on and I get a score of about 7600, but the crippling effect on 3dmark make it not worth it. I believe I got a 27300 with this speed and 940 on the 4890 and 800 on the x2.

I didn't bother running in xp because I heard that it doesn't support more than xfire. If it did support it, I would imagine that I would be getting 30k score.

I will be putting the 4870x2 under water one of these days, but setting up another loop is such a pain. I am hoping that I can get maybe 860 on the 4870x2 with a little bit of added voltage. And with rivatuner, maybe 1030-1050 on the 4890. Hopefully then I can break 30k.

interesting, so HT on helps CPU score, but destroys SM3.0? i am definitely going to have to look into that. i wonder if it is the same for NVIDIA and in XP. thanks, now you have me working on 06 some more. i thought i was on top of that bench after coming out of this weekend

Hey 3oh6, don't you find it bizarre you can clock the 4890 and 4870x2 independently and not be held back by the slowest clock.

I am happy I got the 4890 because honestly I don't game at all, and this independent clock thing makes benching far far more interesting as the 4890 clocks pretty well(there are a couple artifacts those at that speed).

Work at 3dmark06 more? Looking at the competition, you did pretty well damn well.

i don't find it that weird being different cards. Crossfire seems to be pretty loose with its restrictions compared to SLI. just the fact that you can run different cards in Crossfire should make it normal that they can run at different clocks.

Why bother with 3DMK06 and Vista.....the Score really is not "representative", especially with I7 and vista 64 Bit....toss it and run Vantage.

It just too bad, that the 4xxx series from AMD sucks hard at vantage. I get a score of 22,xxx. However I heard the xtreme portion AMD does ok, but it seems no one cares about that type of bench.
