i7 920 + GA-EX58-UD3R = ???

I have been playing around with my i7 build for almost three weeks now and am wanting to start overclocking a little. I'm having a bit of trouble making sense of the information that's out there. A lot of people are saying different things, and for a beginner it's a little overwhelming. Can someone help me get started...?

CPU - i7 920
Motherboard - Gigabyte EX58-UD3R
RAM - Corsair XMS3 TR3X6G1333C9 3X2GB DDR3-1333 CL 9-9-9-24

Right now I'm running everything at default settings.
I've flashed my BIOS to f5 version on the advice of a gigabyte tech.
Where should I go from here?
Please don't just say "Google"...

I'm still working on this... there's a lot to learn yet.
It's fun, but I need this machine to last me at least a couple of years so I don't want to kill anything. I want to do it as safely as possible. I am determined to learn though. Right now I'm not shooting for super high overclocks. I'd like to get to at least 3.5ghz, and with the HSF I have it shouldn't be too hard. So far I've been messing with easytune6, but haven't had the guts to do much besides try out the quick boost feature, and that only gets me to 3.3ghz with voltages kinda high. Obviously I'm going to have to do things manually in BIOS.

Does anyone else have this CPU (i7 920) and motherboard (ex58-ud3r with f5 BIOS) combo and could share some insight? What settings are you using to get a good, stable OC? How high have you gotten (with the OC, I mean...)? Did anyone even buy this motherboard? I see a lot of people using other models, but not many using this one.

Anything you guys/girls would like to share would be much appreciated.

From my main. You should have the same setting names. It may not work, since our hardware is different.

QPI Link: x36
Uncore Freq: X17
BCLK: 180
Pci Ex.: 101
Performance Enhanced: Standard
System memory multi: 8x
Vcore: 1.35
QPI/VTT: 1.36
IOH core: 1.10
Dram: 1.54
QPI PLL: 1.10
CPU PLL: 1.80

What cooling are you using. I know 3.5-3.6 might not sound like alot but on stock, HT can produce overwhelming amounts of heat.
