My System Specs

Dancing_Banana It's been a while...

...since I've overclocked an nVidia card. Last time was an 8800GTS 320MB probably about 2 years ago now and I never pushed that one extensively. I've got "the" Gigabyte 9800GT that was used in the 9800GT roundup here so i know it is somewhat overclockable. Is Rivatuner my best option? I typically used coolbits back in the day, but I absolutely despise Nvidias current control panel (I'm folding with this BTW) (Running XP Pro 32bit)

eVGA Precision is your best bet.

As soon as I'm more comfortable OC'ing my CPU and I get my RAM running good
I'll be trying out evga Precision. I don't know much more about overclocking a GPU as
I did about overclocking a CPU a couple months ago so it'll likely take some time. The
program looks pretty easy to use though.

Is there still a patch out there for full functionality on non-EVGA cards?

As far as can tell, what I downloaded from EVGA has full functionality.

IIRC, the patch allowed for software bumping of vid card voltages not normally accessable without the EVGA program.

Pretty sure precision is just a simpler, less complex version of rivatuner. At least it was when i used it a few months ago

Well, no sign of any voltage adjustments so I guess it's not fully functional.
