Newb to OC, need asus x58 deluxe v2 help

Hey all, i am new to this whole overclocking thing, and i have made this build solely to try and get into that foray. Here is what i have :

haf case
asus x58 deluxe v2 mobo
intel 920 batch 3841a713
true 120 extreme in push/pull with scythe ultra kaze 2000rpm
corsair 6gb ddr3 dominator 1600 8,8,8,24
nvidia 285 gtx
velociraptor 300, and samsung 320 7200

I have been trying to find a good i7 overclocking guide but i havnt really found one. I checked the stickies here but the guides dont look like they are for i7 which i know is more complex to overclock.

Other problem i had is what i have found tends to be for evga boards, since i have a asus i feel a little out of it. Most links for oc are for systems that are already done at 3.5+ghz, not really the process on how they GOT there.

The asus bios seems a bit confusing to me, as things are not matching up to what i am seeing on the evga links etc i have seen.

Please help, i want to get to at least 3 or 3.2 ghz to start with as this is going to be a 24/7 system, not looking to go crazy, just see how far i can take it and still be stable for a every day use.

I have similar system like Technokat, except the True. I am using Noctua. Just finished building my rig and also looking into the OC stuff.

I am sure there are tons of info out there, but this should be a good start.
