Default 9x445 vs 8x500

What's better? 9x445 or 8x500? My ram is rated 1066mhz

500x8 is generally overall better, especially if you have a quad, as the quads communicate over the FSB...Core2 seems most efficient around 465FSB though, due to internal timings, etc...this, of course, varies a bit from board to board, and bios to bios...

how do I check wich one is better for my system? SuperPI? In-game benchmark? 3dMark?

Personally, I can tell the difference easily just in how fast things load up. Might only be a couple of seconds, but...

Try it. Who cares about benchmarks...can you YOURSELF see a difference?

The higher speed will cuase your system to consume more power. So if it doesn't make a difference for you in your uses, then don't bother.
