This is a 1.5 gram tube; the 24 is a 4.8 gram tube, so much more paste and 24 carats of diamonds vs 7.

Thanks cyber, you're exactly right. I'm just doing some market research to establish a baseline of the retail value in Canada. I determined the Canadian price of IC7 in a similar fashion, so that part of the research is done. RFD is a great way to determine value of items as people are always looking for...you guessed it...deals! I need to determine the viability of bringing it to market here in Canada.

Default Results

E6750 cooled by lapped OCZ Vendetta and installed with OCZ supplied T.I.M.

Contacted Innovation Cooling about directions to apply on non-solid heat sink.

All tests done using Crysis CPU Benchmark Tool and Coretemp32.

Before:

Ambient = 24 deg. C.
Core 0= 29 deg. C. (idle) 47 deg. C. (load)
Core 1= 32 deg. C. (idle) 50 deg. C. (load)
GPU= 39 deg. C. (idle) 56 deg. C. (load)

After:

Ambient = 24 deg. C.
Core 0= 26 deg. C. (idle) 44 deg. C. (load)
Core 1= 30 deg. C. (idle) 47 deg. C. (load)
GPU= 39 deg. C. (idle) 56 deg. C. (load)

7 Carat Diamond T.I.M. worked for me. Thanks for the opportunity HC.

I see most of you guys that are getting good results with the IC7 are using Direct Touch type HSF. I only see a 2C drop in load with a TRUE.

And that IC7 takes some skills to applied them and a pain to clean off That IC7 stuff is thick and hard like wet mud

Default Averaging the numbers

Guys I have a conundrum here

If I average Mike_E/MX-2/-6's with just the one figure -6 the MX-2 average comes out to -3.7 for MX-2

But Mike_E tested on 6 machines so if I include the other 5 it comes out to -4.31C and looks something like this
Quote:
MX-2
slntdth93/MX-2/-6 -6
lpfan4ever/MX-2/-1 -1
Asharp/MX-2/-2 -2
Jshupka/MX-2/-4 -4
phil3_66666/MX-2/-3 -3
Inik/MX-2/-1.5 -1.5
5ILVgeARX/MX-2/+1.1C 1.1
MacJunky/MX-2/ "0" 0.000001
k3nnny/MX-2/-2 -2
CasheKicker/mx-2/-2 -2
SugarJ/MX-2/-1.5 -1.5
Jackquelegs/MX-2/-2.5 -2.5
Infiniti/MX-2/-21.5 -21.5
Mike_E/MX-2/-6 -6
-6
-6
-6
-6
-6

Average -4.310526263

This is your data, I am just averaging here. Should I give everybody just 1 data point or include all? it makes a 0.6C difference

Andrew, Mike_E and many other's offered to test on multiple machines when they PM'd me about participating in the giveaway. I think their intention was to have all their results counted when run on independant machines. I actually sent Mike 2 tubes because he stated he wished to test it on multiple setups so I think it's only fair to include all the results. i believe there are a couple more that offered to test on multiple machines too.

Just my input here, but since he has 6 independant machines, I think it would be reasonable to include all his results and anyone else that tested against multiple compounds and independant machines too. But, I'll let you and the HWC folks be the judge.

Well I agree but I am a biased observer as far as the other members of this forum are concerned and the process should be transparent for it to maintain credibility which is why I put the question out there. I do not want anybody to think I am taking advantage.

Noted. I knew you were trying to avoid just that and it's also why I wanted to make it clear to all that there were many members that wanted to test many compounds and independant machines.

So, HWC folks, what say you?

That's 6 machines, 6 data points collected. Use them. It doesn't matter who collects the data.

I'm going to try another mount tomorrow, see if my results are duplicated or get any better. It's kind of hard to screw up the GTZ mount though, you just keep tightening until it hits the stops.
