Default Asrock G31M-S overclock anyone else?

Hello , I have the Asrock G31m-s mobo with 2 sticks of 2gb of ram G-Skill ddr2 pc8000.

Has anyone worked on or has this board , I am presently overclocking it at 13% with no problems , just slowly oc'ing as I am a noob to the overclocking thing.

Just wanted a little more input in what I should be doing in bios.

Thks

Since this is a budget board, you probably won't get a substantial overclock out of it. I had the asus version of this board and my E6400 wouldn't go past 2.7Ghz. There is an overclocking utility available for your board to download from the website. It may help somewhat. It would also help us if you post your hardware specs here for us to see. It would give us a better idea of what you're working with. eg cpu, power supply, ram, etc.

Thks for reply , I am presently running the e5200 at 2.9 with no problems.
I have the Gskill ram ddr-1000 pc2-8000 2 sticks of 2gb.
My hard drive is a Samsung Sinpoint F 500gb.
The video card needs to be changed but for now it is a Geforce 7300gt 512mb board.

Hope this helps , I'll look over my bios a little more.

What programs are you using to ensure your overclock is stable and what power supply are you using.?

Thks for reply I got it clocked at 3.0 ,a 20% overclock and still good , I'll do a few more tests to make sure .
Just one thing I noticed my memory seems to be at 600mhz should it be running higher than this?
I got it set to auto in bios , should I choose the other options instead which would be 1- 667 and 2- 800?

Thks

Ok I tried to up my cpu to 3.1 and i tried doing a prime95 test it gave me an 0.5 round error, would I have to up the voltage on my ram or put the pcie up from 100.
Anyone who knows this board could I get a little help on this pls.
To overclock first I had to channge jumper on mobo so I could overclock fsb to 1066 and up.There is something in bios I am missing , just don't know what.

Thks

so your system specs are:

E5200 (200x12.5)
Asrock G31M-S
Gskill PC2-8000

what voltage for your CPU? When overclock you might want to stick with lowest ram ratio, try putting cpu muti to 12x

So what do you have for cpu cooling? stock heat sink and fan? if so i suggest stay with intel specs for voltage (1.36v)
