Just trying out OCCT, is it normal that Linpack puts my top temp from 50 to 62?

wow, never thought I would see over 60 with a 360 cooled cpu!

Well, you are getting to the point that the solder on the chip just isn't that efficient, and the amount of cooling you need to remove the heat generated is close to being exceeded, and increases exponentially.

so linpack is normal to put out that much more heat than normal OCCT (47) or orthos (50)?

Yes. this is why people say not to use it, as at the limits of the chip, it's possible to get in a situation where you just can't cool it enough, and bad things ensue. Linpack just has more of the chip generating heat than the others...doesn't mean it's better for stability testing.

It's why Intel specs .875v-1.55v...more than 1.55v, and you'll have a really hard time keeping the chip cool...even under water.
