On water, but I thought it was mainly the clock that affects the score, not the temperature of the cpu itself (within reasonable levels, of course). My temps never go over 70 Degrees.

Remember us guys with nv Cards are enabling "PhysX" ...hence the P42K from my build....with PhysX disabled and same overclocks I get around P38K....
Are you running 3 x 5870's ?.......if so I would have thought a much higher GPU Score. Physx primarily inflates the CPU Score.

Thats about right I think.....your GPU score is slightly higher then mine with Sli 480's........you simply have the "lower" CPU score as no PhysX.....so...1x 5970 + 1 x 5870 appears to be slightly faster than to 2 x 480's ;) (for a Vantage score anyhow)......don't sweat it all is good....if I went with Tri Sli and a 3rd 480 would be close to P50K ;)........so...forget about Vantage "crank that shvt up" and game away !!!

Haha I will indeed do so. Gonna go for some "real" overclocks, after I get both cards on water =).

No physX to bump mu CPU...
My chip will hit 4.25, but I just can't get it to go any higher than that even at 1.35v and still be 24/7 stable, so I just leave it at 4.0 and 1.25v

My 5870 though, I just flashed it to the ASUS bios a few days ago and it will run 1050/1350 @ 1.3v all day long. I definately need a second one though... This just doens't cut it for 1920x1200 high res gaming...

Finished my system with another 5970. Kinda disappointed with the results, seeing as I was getting a 40k GPU score with my 5970+5870 @ 880MHz, vs now where all four GPUs are sitting @ 900MHz. I'll bump it up to 1k at some point and see if I can finally break 45k...
