| Was that done at 3.2 GHz? That's pretty darned good! You should be able to get that GPU up to about 660 and 1000 which might put you over the 11K mark.

| Yes I got that score at 3.2Ghz... I guess I should try to OC my GTS 640! I'm a little hesitant though! I mean, I seen that quite a few people got problems over 630 (core). Rivatuner my best bet? I'll probably reach 11000 or close to it, but will I notice any "visible" benefits? I mean I run my fave games all maxed out on a regular 19" CRT, not like I'm running a 24" or bigger LCD. Edit: I'll give Ntune a shot...It's running a stability test right now... I clocked at 630 core and 950 memory (conservative, but a start!).

| No, I would say not- it would just be for bragging rights- mine is water cooled and I don't leave mine any higher than 610 for 24/7 operation- I don't think it would hurt me to go higher as my temps are below 40, but there's not much point.

| I got my 8800GTS 640 clocked at 630 core and 950 memory using RivaTuner. It's kinda too easy, although the self test didn't let me go to 1000 for memory. I'll run a 3Dmarks06 tonight, my new comp is not hooked up to the internet yet. I'm moving to an other province in a few days and I didn't bother to set everything up, I didn't take the router out of the package yet. I'll just do a quick swap to hook it up, run the benchie and take a screenshot. I realize that running my games with graphics at stock or OCed doesn't really matter, I can't see the difference (well I can hear it...the fan at 100%)...LOL Maybe with Crysis and Quake wars, I'll see a difference, but I'll be running them games on DX 9c...

| Ok this is my last result. (EVGA 8800 GTS 640Mb) I reached 11032 in 3DMarks06! I'm trying to take a shot, but doesn<t work. Anyway, I set the GPU core clock to 648 Shaders 1512 Memory 945 Rivatuner gives me a warning when I crank the memory above 950...I'll try again (you know the "test" button). Anyway, without the friendliness and technical support from you folks, I wouldn't be there getting an "above 11000" 3Dmarks06...makes you wonder what hardware the guy who scored 24000 had "under the hood"... Thanks guys! ![]()

| I scored 10450 with my e6400@3.1, 8800gts @ 630/1800 using XP pro. The highest I have been able to hit with Vista is 10322. Futuremark - ORB - Project Comparison |
