Able to get just a tad more out of her.. ![]() I'm pretty sure thats it...I really believe the GPU is maxed, however, it almost seems that with these GTX2xx series Cards they need to stretch their wings a little and then ..boom...a previous OC that didn't work (stable), is now stable..very odd. This is my 2nd GTX 2xx Series Cards to play with in last week. For all its worth! Cheers

Just Got my system up and running haven't OC'd anything yet, everything in my sig is stock except the Palit Radeon HD 4850 which I let ATI Overdrive have it's way with. ![]() Stock the card runs 625/993 at ambient temp of 24C with case wide open temps are 32C idle / 41C load (2 hours of crysis everything on High 4xAA). With this card OC'd idle is 37C and 47C load (again 2hrs of Crysis). Guess I can still push it more but for some reason when I crank ATI overdrive up to it's max it passes but then 3dmark 06 freezes up and says "IDirect3DDevice9::Presentfailed:devicelost(D3 DERR _DEVICELOST)" Strange as I can play Crysis just fine with ATI overdrive set to 675/1050 which is the max the sliders go. Other than this small prob the card seems very cool and I expect to reach somewhere around 15K 3dm06 score once I tweak my HD and OC the E8400.

| I can hardly see your info in your pick but...correct me if I am wrong do I see a Q6600 at 3.6Ghz and a 8800 getting you a Score of 18K+ I may not be reading that right but it looks damn impressive...wow if you are able to run your Q6600 at 3.6 on Air that is a triumph and a half you got yourself a good chip there I would definetly put that under water for some kickass OC. Another unrelated question just how north are you.

I see RJ is now getting a better Score then me with his SLI GTX280's guess I will need to hit the OC a bit more to try and top my current score.

My Biggest hold back is the X2 wont go over 767 / 942 with it's Air cooling even with the fans maxed. I was Planning to get another X2 only I haven't seen them for anything nearly as cheap as I got it in September...So after Xmas New GPU New Cooling.
