Nah, I'm not that big of an FPS gamer to worry about the extra 5 or so FPS it would get me... besides... my only experience with putting "water" on a video card wasn't exactly pleasant..... :)

That's 2000+ better points than my best with the 3870. :)

Running the fan @ 100% though, and damn is it ever freaking loud!!!! Gonna scale the fan back to see where the happy point is for gaming.

I think you will find 50% is more than sufficient, and barely audible.

Well I can say damn that is a nice score. Beats my 8800GT SLI setup.

Though when I compare our two scores, your CPU score is about 1400 more than mine. I also find it interesting how you got a better SM 2.0 score by about 800, yet I got about 1000 more on the SM 3.0.

I just wish I could OC my q6600 more than the 3.0GHz. Unfortunately that seems to be the limit when using the mobo I have.

Oh and yea I agree with CasheKicker, 50% should be plenty to keep the temps down while remaining quiet enough.

Just a quick note for the people upgrading from older units. I just retired my X2-3800 rig and the best I got from it when overclocked on the processor and vid card (7950 GX-2) was in the high 7000 point range in 3DMark06. I put the same card, running at stock settings, into my Q6600 rig (@2.6 ghz) and scored 9000. Looks like I will have some good scores once I get everything stable.(waiting on a cpu cooler)
