goin to under clock the stock 670/975 down to 650/950 seen a few messages on nvidia boards of people fixing the driver error and making the cards more stable for vista. until i get the bigger PSU(should be by the end of the week I won't know if it's a power issue. The card specs call for min of 550 in SLI they use 105w ea) I'm gonna find all the power usage specs for all my equipment and see what I am drawing)

Well after several hours over several days of changing drivers, updating hotfixes, underclocking the GPU's, and waiting for useless tech support @ XFX I have not gotten any further solving why i get such a proformance drop in Vista vs XP even with the hotfixes to fix the SLI issues from microsoft, it still seems as though vista doesn't recognize the second card or does breifly and then craps the bed. Apparently Directx10 doesn't work for me with 2 GPU in SLI. So i guess if the added power doesn't fix it I will abandon vista and directx10. and go back to the much more stable XP and direct x 9(where my benchmarks are 17k plus) If anyone has any last tips, tricks, number to call and threaten Bill Gates...pass them this way CAUSE I GIVE UP(not really but for a while anyway)

Well I dont get the big numbers.... Yet but I was playing with OC on my GPU while running the rest of my rig at stock, for now. Running my x1950xt at stock (621 core, 900 mem) I pulled off 6350, then OC the card to the max I could while running the stock cooler at 100% fan speed I hit 702/1017Mhz and was able to score 7030. Not the big numbers that the High end cards of today are getting but I feel good about it. Now once my TRUE X 120 gets installed this week and I learn how to OC the E8400 up to at least 4GHz I hope to get even a bit better.

I can't wait to get my new X3350 (Xeon Q9450). I'll finally have a quad so my 8800GTX isn't bottlenecked (current score is just under 15k, with a 4GHz E6600 + 8800GTX).
