Dang, 15 k with a single gts? i'd say if thats true then the g92 IS alot better. It was all i could do to get 14k out of this one, even with stable temps.

I had to OC my gts to get 15k, the card crashes before it overheats when you are overclocking it so heat is never a problem.

what were your speeds when you were overclocking the gts?

right on dude, i'm looking forward to it. the settings at 14k on my gts was 743/1715/104 max temp was 36°C and your right, it still failed before it overheated, but i was still able to get alot more clock out of it after i cooled it, so its definatly worth cooling.

First night with the new Vid card and I have to say I'm impressed all to hell!!!!

Doubt I can pull much else out of the card, and I really doubt that even pumping the CPU up to 4G is gonna get me that elusive 15K.

Pretty damn happy with this stock cooler. Pumped it up to 100% for this run, but 70% is more in line with still being quiet.

No 860 BIOS block on the new HIS boards. Had this one running at 975, but couldn't complete `06. Mem seems happiest around 1300, but I didn't see any artifacts at the 1330 from this run (usually can see black spots in snow of the last benchmark when it starts to go).

Overall, pretty damn happy!!! :)

Great card, isn't? Runs like a charm, hardly gets hot. And with that number, I'll have to tweak my own Quad and push the 8800GT a little bit more... have you tried going for a 8x multi, instead of a 9x? You'd need 475FSB, and the faster clock may help you reach 15000... here's my last run, with the Quad at 3.6, 450FSB.

I'm pretty sure I can get a `06 4G out of this chip at X9 but it's gonna take a fair bit of cpu VID to keep it stable. In previous testing I didn't see any benefit to running it @ 8X, but I'll have to give it another go. (just gotta get those mem timings down right.... :) ).

I'll probably make a run sometime in the next month after I find my happy place with all the new gear finally together, and a fresh install of XP.

I haven't done any gaming yet so it remains to be seen what affect the new cpu will have on case temps, but I suspect they'll be slightly better with the heat from the card being vented outside of the case.... :)

Well, i haven't seen any 3850 results here yet... so, although much lower than the average here, not bad for a $200 card(sorry,i didn't grab a screenshot).

LOL...I believe I outdid myself again, new motherboard, new RAM, same OC on CPU and GPU! Result: 12974 3DMark06 points!

Screenshot:

Just like you said sswilson, that elusive 13K is what I want to reach! Oh and this run was done on XP Pro...the last on I did was on Vista....I scored 12588 or so?
