Default Need help overclocking my E8400 please

Hi, I'm a bit new to overclocking and I need some help please. I have a

E8400 C0 step w 3.76ghz with 1.36875v

4gb G.SKILL PC2-8000 ram

I'm aiming for 4ghz at 1.3625 or under. Even if I raise the voltages, it wont be stable in orthos small ffts. Here's my current settings.

418x9
1.36875volts
cpu term- 1.4
cpu PLL- 1.55
cpu ref: auto

You might not be able to pull that off.. each chip is different and you may need more voltage.

Don't be afraid to put 1.4v through it.

I require 1.45v minimum to get Stable for 4.05Ghz. The jumps required for OC stability from 3.6 - 3.83 to 4.05 can in some cases, be substantial! As Enab states, not all Chips will react the same!

What VID does your E8400 have? Use CoreTemp to check.

Also, I don't recall raising the VTT voltages during my OC experience, so change that back to stock. Same goes for the PLL and northbridge. Only voltages I changed was the CPU Vcore.

Did you lock the PCI-E speed to 100 or 101Mhz? Did you turn of C1E, EIST, etc.? Is your RAM running at 1:1 ratio? Finally, use OCCT instead of Orthos/Prime.
