Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places, but I can't for the life of me find a tool for the job.......

Is there a gfx stress test that will allow me to switch between different (non-sli'd) gpus in a multi-gpu rig? If so.... does it matter if I have a monitor plugged in to the card (I'm guessing this might be my problem..... I can use GPU Caps and it has the option of switching between GPUs, but it still only seems to run on the gpu that's connected..........)

Is installing individual cards the only way to do this?

Having no monitor or dummy plug is probably your issue; as far as other apps, don't know of any.

Test fold on it, if you get EUEs then the OC is too high and back it off, or if its the same card/model as the main just match it and bump it up or down a step until no EUEs

Heh... that's what I'm trying to avoid....

If I do my initial stress testing on normal WUs, it's bad science if it craps out. If I force it to do older WUs (expired) for testing purposes, I lose that potential PPD. :)

3.0Charlie... are you saying that you've been able to stress individual cards in a multi card setup? If so, what apps were you using?

No; I said I don't know of any other app than the one you mentionned that could test individual GPUs. Now, if you need dummy plugs, I have enough to fill all your adaptors. Let me know.

Thanks for the offer, but I've got enough monitors / monitor inputs to cover the 4 cards. Guess I'm just going to have to bite the bullet and do my own research on this.... ;)

Stanford will just resend the unit if it doesn't get folded properly. Not a big deal. Just think of all the extra science you'll be accomplishing once you find your max overclock ;).

maybe these would be good to make the list a bit more 2010 worthy

msi afterburner > MSI Afterburner
cpu-tweaker > Tweakers.fr
realtemp > Real Temp - CPU temperature monitoring
linx > LinX - A simple Linpack interface - XtremeSystems Forums
maxxpi suite > MaxxPI² - Introducing
cinebench > MAXON - The makers of CINEMA 4D and BodyPaint 3D
