Absolute BS.
Only way i'd even start to believe that is with insane cooling on CPU & NB.
And air w/ a 9700 = lol not a chance.
4.5 GHz = 8.5 x 530.
I'd love to see the P95 Blend screenshot of 530 FSB with that quad stable...won't happen.
It's very hard to get over 450 stable...over 500 doesn't happen unless you consider silliness like SuperPi or loading the OS a stability test.

super pi running with prime 95 running
stil got 12 seconds

Are you serious?

You are showing me a pic of the old version of P95 stressing one core only, & SuperPi & calling that stable?
Not to mention that those are two completely different pics...you could be running a Celeron in the first one for all i know.

Get P95 25.6 which actually stresses all four cores & run Blend, not small FFTs (small doesn't put any stress on the FSB).
Show me that stable at your clocks in screenie...won't get close to happening.

Lots of people have gotten 4 GHz, but to get P95 Blend/IBT stable much over 4 GHz isn't easy without a lot of voltage & some luck.

Thank you for the reply, saves me typing a very similar one.

For the record, my Q9450 can POST and load Vista upto 4.2Ghz. I have acheived stability at 4.0 GHz with Prime95 25.6 10 hours Blend, OCCT 2 hours and 10 passes of IBT. Then the second I started BOINC and FAH, I got errors. I had to back down to 3.84 GHz, same settings. That is what I call stable.

As for using a CNSP9700 at 4.5GHz, that's totally bullcrap - maybe while idling, but never under load. My chip is water-cooled, and reaches 60C while under BOINC load, and 69C using IBT.

I can vouch the 2 pics are from the same CPU if it matters but oh wait no proof so it's BS right! hahaha

my voltage was somthing like 1.63 or so with the vdroop it listed as 1.54 i think

ROFL - 1.63 vCore.

Now do the same that I'm doing with your settings: run your chip 24/7, while using BOINC. Then we'll see if it's stable.

Or if it dies.

Sorry bud, you may have reached 4.0 GHz+, but:

- Super Pi 1M does not mean it's stable.
- a single Prime thread is worth nada.
- running 3Dmark benchmarks does not mean it's stable

well it sat like that for one month @4.3 never crashed i even played crysis for 4 or so hours and not a glitch

to me it was stable but each to their own i guess

i only shut my computer off once when i had it to lapp my processor and heatsink

i call being on 24/7 playing games benchmarking with a out a glitch or a blue screen its pretty ******* stable

but i guess i am wrong and i lie so hey i am done here

Q9550 C1 stepping @ 3.5GHz @1.225v here. Could get more, got this very easily but I was aiming for 3.5GHZ with this rig and I'm happy at that.
