On XP at least Super-Pi worked both cores on my new chip.

...I was asking because somebody told me today that SuperPI is old and single CPU driven!

I don't believe it is specifically optimized for two cores, but the workload is dropped across both.

The #s we see posted for super-pi (that intel now kicks serious butt with) are for the normal super-pi. (at least as far as I can tell).

You need to run multiple instances of it under XP and set the affinity to each core for each instance to get it to work. I am not sure what program you used Swilson, but I have yet to see a PI program that is multi-cored natively.

When I run mod 1.4 both cores show about 50% usage.

I run SuperPI with affinity set on one CPU and compare with affinity set on all 4 CPU...the result is the same!
What do you mean by multiple instances...is it to open multiples SuperPI? ...and then what?

If you want 100% load from SuperPI, you need to open as many instances as you have cores. Then in task manager, set each instance to a specific core, 1-4. Then start 4 PI runs. If there is ANY instability in your overclock it will show up fast.

I openned 4 instances of Super PI and set the affinity on each core.

No matther what I do, only one core is not in error. All others cores produces errors when they run at the same time. I tried 2, 3 and 4 instances and only one core give a good results. I can run stable for 4 hours with Orthos on all four cores???

...is Super PI a better tool for stability? One good thing will be that it can test in less than 40 seconds...(if I select 2M) compare to Orthos!
