Yeah I've done it a couple hundred times too, (for customers) just wondering if he was a special case.

Hmmmm the 32 bit to 64 part I like, I have an OEM Vista Ultimate 32 that i'd like to swap over, hope I can get away with that.

I should have mentioned, this is part of the EULA. If you basically just care about having a legit copy, there's a few ways to do it. OEM moving is just one. Upgrade to Full works too.
