Installed xp sp3 on Intel Xeon E3110 with Asus P5K and the system takes longer to boot than before.

nuked a vmware virgin install of xp for me (installed xp sp2...rebooted installed sp3...rebooted....reboooted...noooo gooooo)...will be a couple of months before i try it on a "real" system.

So far I've got no issues to report on the Giga board install. It's even now running an E8400 chip so I really can't complain. :)

Did you try it at stock speeds?

Could be something funky going on with memory and it's picking up on an instability.

I tried two different machines, one a stock 3800x2 based system and the other a OC Intel system. Both gave an "access denied" popup after 30-40 mins of install, then took another 10 mins to uninstall.

Default MSFN has some good info to be aware of
slipstreamed SP3 into a Dell OEM CD in minutes (using an XP OS machine)

MSFN has some good info to be aware of:

- Don't slipstream XP sp3 on Windows Vista!
- IE and Windows XP Service Pack 3

I had zero issues installing SP3, took very short amount of time. Umm I don't notice anything major so far but also nothing bad has happened so.
