Anyone know where I can download a stripped down version of XP for my Acer?

I have never seen anyone offering stripped down Winblows instillation packages for any kind of hardware. If you have a real install CD (not a image) you can use nLite to strip it down. Getting rid of the languages and unwanted drivers cuts it down substantially with little work or worry about compatibility issues.

There are various ones out there but nothing legal that I could mention/post links to here.

Basically just use nLite and do it yourself.
