uknown folder

Hi just did a fresh install of windows xp pro sp2 and did all the microsoft updates.
When i go to my computer and open local "disk (C:)" there is a folder in there named " TempEI4" when i click on it inside there are 4 files "2.tmp" , "EI41" , "EI43" , "EI455" i do not remeber seeing this folder in there. I did some searching on google but could not find much.
Anyone know what this folder is and if its safe to delete?
when i click on each file it says

It looks like an install log for some of your drivers. I assume D: is your DVD drive? Search all the discs you have fed it for the EIhlp0409.CHM or LICENSE0409.RTF files to see where they came from.

I think this is safe to remove. Best thing would be to just zip it up and save if for a couple weeks. If things go weird after you remove it then you can just put it back.
