Some comments above aren't completely valid IMO, but overall I agree. I would also either go basic with a Linux box, or go win7 64bit. I wouldn't bother buying 32 bit anymore.

not sure what that mean makes no sense to me .
but yes I guess if you are going to be buying an OS then buy 64bit but I would go for win8.1 that isn't using that stupid metro crap just install it with out using a Microsoft account . the OS is actually very good accept for Metro.
But if you are just doing simple things then go with linux it is free and pretty much bloatless.

I always use 64bit windows but that is becasue I have over 4gb ram as for gaming and or what ever the OS doesn't really mater and ram as far as I know doesn't matter or have anything to do with a graphics card but I could be wrong
