My System Specs

Default How do I install Steam OS?

Hey guys,

I downloaded the Steam OS files and put them onto my 16 GB Lexar thumb drive formatted at FAT32. and every time I want to try to install it by selecting my USB stick to boot from, nothing comes up on my screen; the screen stalls.

My motherboard is a Gigabyte Z68P-DS3

Any help will be thanked.

Well after looking at your MOBO it might be because your motherboard doesn't support UEFI, Steam OS has 2 versions the main one that requires UEFI and the modded one that uses the BIOS. You might have downloaded the UEFI version which is why it's not working (Also FAT32? Why not ExFAT?)

This is the non-UEFI version of Steam OS http://repo.steampowered.com/download/SteamOSDVD.iso
