Default Change PDF Title?

I'm still actively searching for a tool that will do this easily, but maybe somebody out there already has one they could recommend.... ;)

Here's the deal....

My original resume template was made while using job placement services provided to retiring military members and then updated from that initial document. It's been converted from a word document into a openoffice document and then into PDF, but for some reason there's a title (I'm assuming it's the name of the initiator at the job placement agency, but it's not the guy I had.... ;) ) attached to the PDF when it's created and I want to be able to remove that title.

Just so we're clear... I'm not talking about the file name and it appears in the tab of foxit reader.

So far I've come across a few references in my searches, but they're either for questionable software and/or command line edits of meta data.

There's gotta be a better way.... any ideas?

Heh.... NVM.

While I didn't come up with a way to change the information in the PDF file, I was able to clear (reset) the information in the OpenOffice document prior to converting and now the file name shows up as the title.

I hate to say this because there's a reason I quit working for this company....

But as long as it's not password protected as far as editing goes, you can open it with CorelDRAW (trial available) and in the file menu, there's a document properties option that should let you edit the metadata you're looking to change

you are looking for a .pdf writer then just copy the file create and new file ( basically copy paste. I am not sure if that will work but if you can then you can also just change what you want

I could do that from within OpenOffice. All I'd need to do is copy the text into a new document and then export it into a PDF. As it stands I've found the fix for deleting all meta data from the document from within OoO.

Aside from the possible issues I may run into with formatting (resumes are really the only thing I find that critical on) it irks me as I shouldn't have to do that.

Have you tried BeCyPDFMetaEdit?

It is on FreewarePlanet. The URL: FreewarePlanet :: Other PDF tools [2 of 10]

Just tried it. It works on PDf files that are not password protected.

Thanks, that's one of the programs that came up during my initial searches but I didn't give it a try before seeing if anybody here had tried it yet. :)
