My System Specs

Default What motherboard supports WHS 2011?

Ok so I have a copy of Windows Home Server 2011 lying around and I'm planning to make a good use for it. Problem is a good chunk of the motherboard manufacturers do not support Windows Home Server 2011 or make any drivers for that OS. Of course I'm guessing that Server motherboards are supported but they can be expensive.

So does anyone know any motherboards that support WHS 2011? Doesn't matter if it's Intel or AMD.

Thanks,

get drivers for server 2008 and you will be fine. Server 2011 is based on Server 2008, just gimped. IF they don't have that then windows 7 drivers can work in a pinch. This should allow you to install it on pretty much anything you get your hands on.

Nah I tried Windows 7 Drivers before and it's like: This Driver is not for the right operating system bla bla bla. I'll try it again just incase but other than that I'll probably just VM it or something.

Win7 drivers do work, but sometimes the driver installer checks the version of windows and errors out. I ended up manually installing some drivers from device manager instead of running the "asussetup" exe. I also had luck downloading drivers directly from the parts manufacturer (intel, broadcom, etc) instead of using the asus supplied drivers for my P8Z77-I.
