If you are willing to spend a bit of money the ideal setup would be MSE, Malwarebytes pro, and the WOT firefox addon. That would be the lowest use of computer resources with some of the best protection IMO. After years of doing this I'm rankly not a fan of AVG or Avira for one reason or another.
