Default Netflix desktop laggy in Mint

Hi Guys, I recently built up a older nettop (Ion platform with atom CPU, 2x2GB ram and a SSD) for use as a media center. I installed the latest version of Linux Mint (Cinnamon) and the pau1 drivers for hardware acceleration. All local and network HDD works great (even in XBMC) but when I try and run Netflix desktop it lags like shit. I know that Netflix desktop is through wine (and that is probably the cause since the little Atom chip just cant keep up) but is there something I can do to get Netflix desktop to run smoothly? Thanks
