Windows 8 will not see smartphones or iphones hdd

So we have 2 ivy bridge systems at work that both have windows 8, all drivers are installed and everything works BUT when you plug a iphone or android in it does not see them, it gives you a failed driver with a explanation mark beside it. As well as you cannot see the Harddrives on the smart devices, not a big deal unless you like to manually backup your phones or do anything with your phone on the computer.

Has anyone seen this issue or know a solution that's not going back to win 7 haha

It depends on how old the phone is and if it has native drivers, it seems 2+ year old phones are hit and mess. If you are running the stock OS on the devices, download the corresponding driver software, such as Kyes for Samsung phones.

Very odd. Perhaps try updating motherboard drivers. Good luck.

Tried stuff like that:( the issue is not the phones as all brands even BB has the same issue but it is something in the OS or system. Just wanted to know if anyone else had that issue
