Windows 8 Top Programs

Wondering if we could get a list of some good programs that we should be putting on our machines running windows 8?

I don't know many yet but I know I still love my ccleaner.

What do you guys recommend as other software that are must haves on Windows 8?

Don't know about what programs other than Start Menu X since it's free :

Start Menu X: Help

If you have SSD you still have to disable indexing but Superfetch, prefetch, and defrag and automatically disabled.

The only installed software that is specifically for Windows 8 is ClassicShell. Which is just a free yet rather awesome start menu replacement.

As a regular user of ccleaner over the years, I must recommend ccenhancer for it's extra bit of awesomeness.

Guys, this is software FOR Windows 8, not another operating system. Please keep on topic.

My recommendation is the latest Virtualbox or VMware Player, with a copy of Windows 7 installed on a virtual machine.

What does it matter? Just install what you use in 7 as its the same os.

I'd have to check my list at home but there were a few things that didn't say for sure if they worked with windows 8 yet or not hence my original comment but I was more asking (IF KEEPING WINDOWS 8 lol)

What do you guys prefer for software
most people do spyware, antivirus, defrag, ccleaner (or something like it), etc.. Thought there might also be some other cool programs out there (and a few were listed which I hope to checkout tonight).

Thanks :)
