Default VLC 2.0 win?

Since VLC's v2.0, I noticed any video that previously ran choppy on my old rigs now runs fine!
I thought because of that, maybe other improvements were made.. The network streaming now works (at least from youtube) and the converter seems to work.
No more multi-apping the media.
Just wish it had a compact/taskbar mode for the mue-zack.

Anyone else had improvements, or just me?

The GUI is now a little more refined, IMO. It takes less clicks to turn of subtitles, for example. I've still noticed the odd movie that has badly synced sound, so I guess the codecs still need a little work. But yes, all in all, it's a vastly improved player. Hell, even my old Athlon 1.9Ghz dual core that I'm now using as a media box/server will run 1080P movies.

Twoflower FTW!!!

Haha you're right, I never noticed the menus were different!
I've got a single core Xeon/x1300 running a lot of media on a low res tube TV. Haven't had a playback issue yet, which is quite surprising. Wouldn't even do 720p before.
