Guess it's time to update! Also switching the Macbook Pro over to Ubuntu as soon as I get a chance. Gone will be that disgusting Unity desktop...and hello to XFCE. Though stripping down KDE is quite usable as well.

I stopped Ubuntu when they dropped Gnome for that Unity junk. Did they ever find a way to bring GNOME back? That was the only good interface IMHO.

Any version of Ubuntu can be changed to any desktop environment you want. There's plenty of step by step guides out there.

You might like XFCE if you like the earlier Gnome versions.

And as said before...mannnyyyyy options available for Desktop Environments.

I did not know that. I am still a newbie when it comes to Linux.
