Nvidia vs AMD Drivers What Company do you believe delievers better drivers. Currently using CFX 6870's however I'm going green due to HORRID drivers . Is the grass really greener on the Green Team? |
Nvidia hands down. |
no question, nv all the way |
Typically nVidia, I've found the odd beta drivers from nVidia to have quirks (like the current one always forgetting my 2nd monitor if i turn them off before the monitors go to sleep) |
Single card, they are about even with a slight edge going to NVIDIA. Multi card drivers......NVIDIA, without a doubt. |
I'm totally on the Nvidia bandwagon too. The last time I used AMD, need the .NET framework or something just to use the control panel. Nvidia just works out of the box. |
So does AMD. And I've never needed .NET to use them. |
i use to love red team but after trying green team and finding way less drops in fps in games i became a lover of green and there drivers i always find normally give a good performance boost |
AMD all the way for me, never had any luck with Nvidia at all. |
Well i agree with sky .... at least on the single card thing there pretty even. And anytime someone try's to say the nvidia drivers are some "better" I disagree with it cause they do screw up, like how about awhile ago there driver killing cards cause it actualy shut off the fan's on there cards :haha::thumb:. Also as tom's proved a few years back, there driver/software preformance is dependant on cpu speed/accelorated where as ati/amd's are not dependant on it. I also still think that while nvidia has improved on there image quality n such. I always found there graphics to be "blocky" & "bright". I always found ati/amd had vividness/depth in there rendering vs nvidia's & im the type of person that would rather have a quality image vs blocky/jagged images + higher frames. |
