Ok, here's the deal......
I'm using a USB stick to store & play music through my car deck, and everything works fine except that the deck reads usb files/folders in the order they are written to the stick... works great until you add new music, and then the folders are out of alphabetical order....
If I wanted to waste a ton of time, I could just delete all of my USB files (currently 10G+) and re-write all of the files every time I add more music, or there are apparently programs (like something called drivesort) which re-order the directory tree to alphabetical. (much better.... ;) ).
Does anybody have experience with this process, and/or have any suggestions as to best software to use?
Thanks in advance.
Edit: Heh... well so much for being patient.... I jumped right in and ran DriveSort (
Anerty's Lair - DriveSort ) with what appears to have been success. Hopefully there aren't any nasties which snuck past the AV....... ;)
