My System Specs

Default Hide User Accounts @ Login Screen

I'm trying to do this for Win 7 Pro but it won't work.

Reference I'm using is--

Quote:
I tested this tutorial under win 7 ultimate too.So Please check carefully.
1.Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\Cu rrentVersion\Winlogon
2.New key SpecialAccounts under Winlogon
3.New key UserList under SpecialAccounts
4.In the right pane of UserList ,New DWORD(32-bit) and name it to the account name you want to hide, then press Enter ,then double-click it and set the value to 0″
Note:If you are using win7 64-bit version,maybe you should choose DWORD(64-bit) in step 4.
Any suggestions?

What do you want to acheive?
Do you want to automatically log into a password protected account when you boot, or do you want to "hide" the accounts?

Well you are right, it works just fine.

I was choosing 64bit value based on the reasoning that my OS is 64bit. I was sure I originally tried 32bit and it failed--

'User Error'
