Best freeware anti-spying apps for torrents?
Seeing as Harper is using Orwell's 1984 as a play-book I want to make sure my surfing and small amount of torrent use is as invisible as possible. Gotta love the no just cause/no warrants thing.
What should I be using? Peer Guardian? or Blocklist? Tor? BTGuard?

IMO nothing is private on the Internet, especially using free proxies...
If you don't want to get caught, don't use it. Plain and simple.
Honestly, my best suggestion would be to stay off public trackers and don't download anything "hot".
peer block is ok but not absolute
you can tweak the lists though ;)
there are some paid services that route whatever thru there and i have yet to hear/read of anyone
going down while using em....but,depending if that crap law passes or not those might become more
still, for anime who cares? maybe in 5 years when they license it here but i buy the discs anyhow :p
If you are worried about privacy you'd be better off using private trackers with encryption enabled. Though a more secure way would be using usenet and servers that only connect over SSL as its a lot more secure and even harder for your ISP to look into and packet shape (I've never had the packet shape slow down that torrents suffer with usenet)
agrred on usenet.
i used to be a heavy torrent user, and now i strictly do usenet.
the security is a bonus, but the download speed is far and above torrents imo
Super Antispyware & Malware Bytes Anti Malware. :)
Would not a VPN be effective?
I like peer block, been using it for a while now.
If you are afraid of being caught doing something illegal like downloading pirated movies, videos, games, etc. don't do it in the first place.
