HELP - Installing Win 7 64 bit latest updates... I've tried to install the latest updates as recommended by the operating system, but it keeps failing. Would anyone know why? I've tired to installed one update at a time and it still provides an error message. I've attached a few images for you all. TIA! http://www.pocketrocket.ca/temp/win_error.JPG http://www.pocketrocket.ca/temp/win_error2.JPG http://www.pocketrocket.ca/temp/win_error3.JPG http://www.pocketrocket.ca/temp/win_error4.JPG |
Look in your add/remove programs in your control panel. If you see "Microsoft .NET framework 4 extended" and the other is "Microsoft .NET framework 4 profile view", uninstall them and then run your windows update again from your start>all programs list. If that doesn't work, scan for adware/spyware that may be running in the background. |
If none of those work then just hide those updates. Win7 has had a few updates that don't want to install on certain computers. MS usually releases an updated update later. |

This is what I see. I assume I need to remove " Microsoft.NET Framework 4 Client Profile"? Would this has any affects on other programs or such? Isn't Nero 9 dependant on this program? http://www.pocketrocket.ca/temp/windoes_error5.JPG |
I just received an automatic update that says it is supposed to resolve issues with updates not installing. KB2533552 for reference. |

If you see the .NET frameworks, uninstall them, run your update. Make sure those two are unchecked before you install the updates. After you're updated, go back and install the .NET updates. |
Still have this issue, anyone figure it out? TIA |
