Default Convert DVD ( CD) in ISO

what is the best software for convert DVD or CD in ISO, I'm looking for something simple, I don't want something that create a virtual drive, I want a software that run nothing when I don't use it

If you just want to make ISOs then use ImgBurn. Its free and its great for creating iso/img files as well as burning them.

If its DVD movies you want to back up I cant help you there as all my flicks are MKVs, I havent ripped a Movie DVD in years.

it's iso of my old OS I want to put on my EXSi ISO storage.

isn't EXSi ISO virtual? if it is can't you just load up you virtial drive and drag and drop the ISO into it?

if all you want to do is make an ISO of some files then I suggest a free program called folder2ISO Folder2Iso Main Page (Official Page).
