Default Vista64bit/2puters/1 serial?

My brother just purchased a computer and recieved both vista 64 bit and 32 bits system disks with it. He has the 64 bit version installed. Can I also install the 64 bit version on my computer aswell, using the key they provided, even though he has regestered it?

Nope, 1 key needed per computer.

If the OS was installed with an OEM key, the keys on both disks are technically unused, right? Maybe you can convince him to settle for 32-bit if he ever has to reinstall...

well, i thought id ask anyways.... the system was purchased from a computer shop, it was built from scratch and im not sure if the key is OEM or not. I wont screw him over, so i wont mess with it... but isnt it kinda dumb that you cant use it on the 2 different computers?? I have 3 here.... if I want to but the vista, id have to buy 3 disk for my own computers?? that crazy..

Well the only way you could run it to try it with your bros permission is use the

no cd key entered install

just defer the key entry.

you can get all the downloads the pleasure the pain

You try before you buy around 3 20 to 30 day renewals allowed

not that bad.

You could then enter a valid key taken off what you have bought as long as it matches

heck XP 64 wasn't it once 90 day trial -+
