It's been a while since I ran an Nvidia card so I'm out of the loop. Somebody please tell me that the most recent Nvidia drivers aren't really the ones they released in mid december last year............

Ummmmmmm.......

They've released a hell of a lot of new cards to the market since then.....

Were those cards already built into the drivers back in december?

That's for my 8800gtx, and I know its up to date so I haven't bothered to check for anything else. A quick search for the 9800gx2 shows there was a release April 1st, but it did not include the 8800 series.

The beta 174.74 supports the 8800 cards, and is otherwise the same as the whql 174.74 set.

is the whql 174.74 available for download under normal circumstances or do I need to google for it? (169.21 is what came up from the Nvidia site).

Is there a benefit to the 174 drivers for 8000 series cards or are they just supported?

You will find the 174 drivers in the Beta section.

I have only installed the released ones so don't know if the betas are better or not.
