My System Specs

Default "This copy of Windows 7 is not genuine"...Pretty sure the $ I spent on it was genuine

Hmmmmm, so Ive just upgraded my MB, CPU, and Ram and now I get a popup telling me that my Windows is not a genuine one, also a tiny "This copy of Windows 7 is not genuine" in the bottom right corner :S
As well, my Microsoft Word does the same thing and every time I start my computer, my wallpaper is gone and its simply black. I have paid for this, and was using it on my previous build.
Any thoughts?

Was your copy of Windows 7 an oem copy? If so any significant hardware change makes it no longer valid. You will need to call up Microsoft to tell them that you had some hardware fail, replaced said hardware and need a phone reactivation key.

Is it an actual MS copy of win7, or something you purchased from ebay for $40? If it's one of the ebay ones, chances are the technet reseller had his account cancelled and all of his keys blacklisted.

You should be fine then.

Let us know how you make out.... if they won't reactivate it for you, that's something we all need to know about.

When you go through the steps to call you'll end up with a new key anyways.

So just call :P

Did you not put the sticker on the back of your PC when you got it? I doubt very much they'll be able to do anything for you without that.

As far as keyfinders go... that's a bit too close to the line as far as requests / links go, although I will say that google would be your friend, but that I'd be careful about where the file comes from.

All you need to do is reactivate. Use the automated phone service. Takes about 3-4 minutes. With the amount of times I've changed hardware I've had to call a good 20 times to reactivate. I am becoming rather proficient at it.
