Default convert PDF to Word?
any good utilities out there for this, does NOT have to be free-ware/share-ware. Not interested in a web-based (online) solution where you upload the PDF and get a word-document back.

Acrobat will export out of PDF in various formats including Word

I'm assuming you need to keep the formatting and images. If not, the standard adobe PDF reader allows you to "save as text".

Other than that, I just tried both office 2007, and openoffice, and while they both can save in PDF format, neither one was able to open a PDF file. Maybe the paid version of adobe's PDF software?

We use Nuance PDF Converter 7 Pro (at work) to convert PDF to Word with some success as it keeps the format in place.

ive used both, and yes it works but if you have anything more but text you can and will perhaps have some issues with the formatting that results after the conversion. had quite a bit of headache with some forms.

Our chair here at work uses that and it was the only one that seems to do the job good enough for his liking. So I second using Nuance.

foxit reader PRO (pay version) has a good save to text feature.
