Microsoft Windows 7 and Windows Live Mail Installed Windows 7 about a week ago and installed Windows Live Mail (part of Windows Essentials). I only downloaded that one item out of the entire List. Mail - Windows Live Any way WLM just refuses to open. I cannot uninstall because it doesn't show in the Add/Remove. It shows in the Programs Folder but I cannot delete. Windows will not allow. I cannot re-install because the MS site says I already have it installed so it just lies there irritating me. I am using Thunderbird Version 2 so EMails are not a problem but I still wish to try Windows Live |
try going into your control panel and creating a new mail profile.. see if that kicks WLM into gear so you can actually "fire it up". As a side note, WLM is an even more stripped down version of Outlook Express. You are getting a far greater email experience using TB IMO. |
Try Revo Uninstaller - it's a more powerful uninstaller or System Restore |
Cannot do a System Restore. Its been a week and I've installed many other Programs. I'll probably have more hassle with many items not showing in the Add/Remove. Its not doing any harm just annoying me. EDIT: I used Revo Unistaller. It did a great job. Thanks |
Windows Live Mail should work though. I run it in Windows 7 x64 just fine. Definitely prefer it for checking my @hotmail and @live accounts rather than logging into the website. |
