Is your HDD SATA? 1TB Seagate sounds like it is.
Maybe your Mobo and BIOS is in IDE emulation mode. I would check which mode you are using. I would suspect you would want AHCI SATA mode and if you need to change to that, it might solve your problem.
I'm just throwing it out there. I probably don't know what I'm talking about. LOL!
I always google the error msg and see what can be found. One link seemed to suggest Windows 7 prefers SATA disks and I thought maybe it works better in AHCI mode. I believe this especially applies to using a SATA DVD burner as well. Maybe it's good if both drives are SATA.
