My System Specs

Default auto-identify + sort pictures by file names?

Hi guys,

I have a huge wallpaper collection on my computer. Currently, I have them all sorted by name into their respective folders (e.g. angelina_jolie_1680-1050.jpg into folder named Angelina Jolie). I did this for one reason and one reason only: when I view my wallpaper collection using Picasa, all of my wallpapers will be sorted by individual names/folders, be it Angelina Jolie or Halo 3.

My current problem is this: the program that allowed me to auto-sort no longer works in Windows 7. This means that new wallpapers that I download will have to be sorted manually. It is one thing to manually move 10 wallpapers of the same name to one folder, but it's quite another when you're dealing with thousands of new wallpapers that need to be moved to 10+ separate folders.

What I need: a method or program that I can use to identify and sort my new wallpapers into separate folders. Example: program scans a general folder containing new wallpapers, reads their individual file names, then moves them into their respective folders.

Thank you and sorry for the long post!!!
