Default 64 bit Flash player

since the switch to W7 64 bit, and more importantly using Minefield 3.7a1pre (FireFox 64bit release), i can only watch anything flash powered by switching back to a 32bit browser. anybody here have any info on the release of a 64 bit plugin?

i see Adobe has released a beta Linux version, and promised that if that works out there'll be a Windows version soon, but what does soon mean? how long has a Windows 64 bit OS been out there? quite a while now, so what's the hold up?
