 HomeServer + GoodSync
I want to share what I'm using for performance, security and easy access of my files.
I use always the same PC for my homework, but sometime I want to access those works from others PC in the house..
So I use the software Goodsync to synchronize my user folders in my PC with the one under my user name in the HomeServer.
It serve few purposes:
the files acces is faster on my own drives
files are accessible to every pc
I have 4 copies of the files ' 2 local, ( raid 1 ) 2 in the home server ( duplication)
no need to be worry about a defective raid controller
the homeserver is in my garage 50' from the house, so no worry about fire too
