Kaspersky Internet Security 2010

I have KIS 2010 set to do a full system scan each week, and I just noticed that it says that there's 47 threats. Does KIS 2010 take care of said threats? I have it set to take action automatically, so I think it'll take care of those threats automatically, but not too sure.

be careful, if you put it on auto, it will delete all your illegal programs! ;-)

Could just be low grade threats like tracking cookies that it is finding during a manual scan. Usually when left as default levels its auto protect shields will ignore things like this until you do a manual scan and then ask you what you want to do about them.

my kav picks up "threats" that are really vulnerabilities, such as not having the latest java, not having security patches in place for microsoft office etc. If it is indeed that, there should be an option for it not to display those again.

Checked with Super AntiSpyare and sure enough, I had over 90 threats. Got rid of those threats and Kaspersky still says I have 46 threats. Did a bit of digging around, and it seems that it's showing the overall threats. According to the report on KIS 2010, I'm don't have any threats today, except over 1000 banners, whatever that is.

Just auto-updated to 2010, and it's coming up with a number of positives that it didn't with the 2009 software, including things like my Logitech G9. It also picks up a lot of common programs that don't have critical patches, although 2009 did that too.

Also seems to be borking my HDD performance, although I need to do some more testing before I can say that for sure.
